Our Mission

To record and promote the heritage of Richland County, Wisconsin by collecting and preserving items related to persons, places and events of Richland County, Wisconsin. We will oversee and maintain this collection for the use of the public now and for future generations.

Hours of Operation

As of 1 September 2021, we will be fully open on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Appointments are no longer necessary.

We will be CLOSED the following:

New Year's Day: 1 January, or if on a Saturday or Sunday, we will be closed the Friday before or the Monday after.

Martin Luther King Jr Day: the 3rd Monday in January

Good Friday: the Friday before Easter

Easter Saturday: the Saturday before Easter

Memorial Day: Last Monday of May

Independence Day: 4 July, or if on a Saturday or Sunday, we will be closed the Friday before or the Monday after.

Labor Day: 1st Monday of September

Thanksgiving Day: 4th Thursday of November

Friday after Thanksgiving.

Christmas Eve: 24 December, or if on a Saturday or Sunday, we will be closed the Friday before or the Monday after.

Christmas: 25 December, or if on a Saturday or Sunday, we will be closed the Friday before or the Monday after.
